 Exploring the various 4x4 Forums and Internet-based clubs reveals lively discussions and debate relevant to the objectives, challenges and issues that face the off-road industry of Southern Africa and more specifically, the tasks at hand of the National Off-Road Workgroup. Key questions are being asked and topics of an often controversial nature discussed. The problem that the NOW committee faces is that it is almost impossible to follow the various themes and to formally engage in these discussions. It was therefore decided at the committee meeting held in March 2006 to implement a “Forum Focus” concept where a specific topic would be selected for a given month as the primary theme for discussion – aligned with the focus and timeframe of NOW. At the end of each month, all input will be summarised and recommendations formulated for incorporation in the NOW strategy.
